Popular yesteryear’s TV actress Shweta Tiwari is back in the news again. Tiwari who is known for her role in Ekta Kapoor’s Kasautii Zindagii Kay, landed in trouble after she made an ‘objectionable’ remark during the promotion of a new web series in Bhopal.
Here’s What Happened:
Shweta, Sourabh Raaj Jain, Digangana Suryavanshi, and other celebs were present at a promotional event to announce a new fashion-based web series, which is going to be shot in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
During the event, while taking about the web show, Shweta can be seen and heard saying,
Mere bra ka size bhagwan le rahe hai (God is taking the size of my bra).
Soon after her comment went viral, 41-year-old Tiwari faced flak from social media users for “joking about God” in a disrespectful way.

This caught the attention of Madhya Pradesh’s Home Minister Narottam Mishra who took cognizance of Shweta’s comment and instructed Bhopal’s police commissioner to submit a report within 24 hours. he said action will be taken after report.
Narottam, while interacting with journalists, condemned Shweta’s comment, and said,
I have heard and seen her statement. I condemn it and have instructed the Bhopal Police Commissioner to submit a report within 24 hours. Action will be taken accordingly.
Chandrashekhar Tiwari of Sanskriti Bachao Manch also asked Shweta Tiwari to issue an apology for her controversial comment. He requested Madhya Pradesh’s Home Minister to take strict action against the actress and also not allow the makers of the web series to shoot in Bhopal.
The members of Sanskriti Bacho Manch even protested against Shweta in Bhopal. The actress is yet to react to the controversy.
After getting divorced from her 1st husband Raja Chaudhary, Shweta has separated from her 2nd husband Abhinav Kohli as well. While speaking to Men’s Day Out exclusively in 2020, Kohli had alleged how he has been separated from his (then) 4-year-old son Reyansh by Shweta.
