Gucci is selling a $2,600 (INR 1.90 lakh) orange tartan dress with a satin bow detail for men to
disrupt the toxic stereotypes that mold masculine gender identity.
According to the Italian luxury designer’s website, the Tartan cotton long smock shirt, which features a Peter Pan collar, mother of pearl buttons, and “smock embroidery” is inspired by grunge looks from the 90s. The description for the dress reads,
This tartan smock in delicate colours reflects the idea of fluidity explored for the Fall/Winter 2020 fashion show, disrupting the toxic stereotypes that mold masculine gender identity.
The narration also adds,
The contrast Peter Pan collar and smock embroidery on the front add a childhood inspired element, which ties to a recurrent theme of the collection.
Pieces with versatile ways to wear and style embrace each person who is part of the House’s individual spirit.
The orange and beige garment is cotton with a satin bow on front. However, it hardly embraces the average male body-size as it only comes in XS and XSS.
Gucci claims the material has been specifically treated to channel a ‘grunge vibe’ throughout Fall Winter 2020.
The jeans that look as if they’ve seen better days before they’ve even been purchased, have faded brown spots in addition to bizarre green stains. While ripped jeans are a common trend each autumn, the addition of dirty marks has failed to impress some fashionistas.
What woman in her right mind would be attract to this?

I’ve always dreamed of making something incredibly stupid and charging rich idiots a ton of money for it. Something like this or a Jackson Pollock or that interpretive art crap where I just sit in a recliner and charge people to watch me during beer. Unfortunately I’m too honest.

Men in dresses is a big fat NO! What are they pushing! I like a man to look and act like a man. Strong men are attractive not a scrawny man with long hair in a dress…are you kidding me.

NO MATTER “WHO” is WEARING IT, IT’S UGLY, LOOKS FRUMPY !!!
A TRUE MAN doesn’t WEAR DRESSES ANYWAY, a TRUE MAN WEARS the CLOTHES for HIS STATURE IN LIFE, ORDAINED by ALMIGHTY GOD, HUSBAND, FATHER, PROTECTOR.
TWO(2) GENDERS ONLY, “MALE & FEMALE HE MADE THEM.”

The tearing down of our culture continues. I’ll stick with Filson and brands without tacky initials on everything. Not that I would save to buy Gucci anything now, which is just fine! I wish I could weave my own clothes and knit sweaters from a farm at this point. 🙂

Feminism, trans, CRT, and company all depend on the same thing – convincing their target demographic to defeat itself.

There’s a mentally ill man in our village who’s been dressing like this for years. We keep our distance.

What are they doing to help all of the negative stereotypes associated with femininity; aside from trying to remove men from the dating pool?

Finally a workable solution to eradicate toxic masculinity. I ordered my attire because I want to create a better world. The future is female.https://t.co/a5RokmjWq4

They want to feminize men now? Gosh, where´s the next rocket to leave this planet of the apes…

We should bring back real masculinity in men’s fashion.
Gucci had the best ads in the 1980s.

Something tells me Prince Harry is going to be wearing this, if he wants a legover at Christmas. https://t.co/ayihSP7loG

Why would a man wear blue jeans under his dress? It defeats the entire purpose of testicular liberation from heat and constriction.
Gucci needs to step up with everyday $1,700 house dresses for men without the tacky denim. That’s when we will know freedom has Won 2020. https://t.co/p7xUGlvhCK
