A BSF soldier in Muzaffarpur decided to end his life over a dispute with his would-be in-laws. The news broke out on Wednesday afternoon, which shocked his locality.
BSF soldier’s Aditya Raj hanged himself to death on July 15. As the news spread, the crowd gathered in front of his home and his neighbours informed the police. The incident took place in the Litchi Gacchi Mahabir temple lane of the district police station area, in his own house, where Aditya, son of Anil Kumar ended his life by hanging himself from the fan.
The police started investigating as soon as they arrived at the scene. Father of the deceased, in his statement, told police that his son was a BSF soldier and posted in Meghalaya. He had come home to Muzaffarpur as he was on leave from June 20.
Aditya, 26, was ready to get married for which his family got him engaged on July 5 to a girl who lived near Banaras bank square in Muzaffarpur. Anil Kumar also shared a dispute his son was going through with his
would-be in-laws. He told the police that Aditya’s would-be in-laws had come to their residence on July 15. He said that there were fights over certain things related to the wedding, as per groom’s father. Not just this, the Kumar also told police that Aditya’s would-be in-laws also yelled and abused at his son, which made him extremely upset.
According to the police, the investigation is still going on. The case has been registered as suicide and family disputes with the in-laws. Hence, the families of both the bride and groom are going to b interrogated. Further the investigation would be done on basis of the statements made by the family of the deceased.
